I’m Felix Galindo, a Principal Engineer at Digi International, where I lead the technical direction and cross-stack architecture for Digi’s XON IoT platform—spanning intelligent devices, XBee modules, industrial gateways, and cloud integration.
My work bridges embedded systems, edge computing, and emerging Edge AI to create reliable, scalable, and intelligent device-to-cloud ecosystems. From architecting low-power LoRaWAN devices to enabling real-time analytics and decision-making at the edge, I focus on designing systems that deliver measurable business impact while staying grounded in technical excellence.
Over the past decade, I’ve built connected systems across startups and global enterprises—from solar-powered embedded devices to Linux-based industrial gateways and multi-tenant IoT cloud services. I founded BitWize, a consulting firm providing embedded and IoT solutions, and established Digi’s internal AIoT Council to guide the company’s long-term AI-enabled product strategy.

Lead architecture and delivery across Digi’s LoRaWAN product family—from hardware direction to firmware design (C, STM32, FreeRTOS) and embedded Linux/Yocto gateway stacks.
Integrate with the Digi XON Cloud for secure provisioning, telemetry, and remote device management. - Edge AI and Embedded Intelligence
Prototype and evaluate Edge AI features enabling device-level anomaly detection, intelligent sensing, and local decision-making within LoRaWAN and gateway environments.
